Background:
INSPIRATION:
Culture and historical narratives inspire my work. I use art to record life and living experience.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
I have been painting as a professional artist and exhibited my work since 1998.
I worked for a number of years in the media industry, mostly as a cartoonist, art commentator and features writer before I made a change of field to working in community development projects throughout the South Pacific in mostly social research Investigations since 2010.
My current work involves recording experiences of market sellers in road side stalls in West New Britain province.
EXHIBITION:
I have had both groups and solo exhibitions since 1998 both in the country and in overseas.
During which I have been an artist in residence at various times in different countries in Europe and the Pacific including Australia in 2002.
I have also written and published several books on Poetry, Young People Politics as well as essays on arts in PNG and short stories.
Although, I studied briefly at the Faculty of Creative Arts at UPNG in the "Theatre Arts" program, I later streamed over to the Social Sciences Field.
At present, I am preparing to undertake postgraduate studies in art history.
