INSPIRATION:
I was drawn to drawing since I was a child (12yo-1974), seeing the illustration of Queen Elizabeth the 2nd (as head of state) in front of my grade 6 classroom every single day. I was convinced that it was a photograph until a teacher told me otherwise. ‘The notion of possibilities’ . Following this, I began to put pencil to paper and been drawing since..
also inspired by Realistic paintings/illustrations,
Currently, I am using a technique called "weave", which I developed. Most of my digital illustrations seen in my artworks presented below are done using this technique.
I wanted to do something unique with my drawings therefore developed the 'weave technique' drawing inspiration from our woven blinds, baskets, mats and bilums in our society but with a strict rule that each line do not cross over another but intertwines.
