Background:
INSPIRATION:
I grew up watching my dad in his little print shop and every time I always like to imitate what he does. From time to time I began to realize how much I love art and how much of a creative person I am but never really worked towards my full potential till I came to Port Moresby. Although I've come a long way, I still need to improve in a lot of areas.
What inspires me to do anything involving art currently is that I find peace while doing these little things. Not only that, but it's my break from the world and that is what I love the most.
EDUCATION:
I started schooling at Kirokai Grammar School. It was located at the near end of my hometown Arawa.
After finishing Grade 2 I was then transferred to Tupukas Primary School where I did a lot of little things involving art for example painting banners and printing shirts. Sadly there was no art class back then so the only time I'd do something related to art was during any special events that took place that time. The same followed when I entered high school.
In 2019 I graduated from Arawa Secondary School and was accepted to the University of Papua New Guinea where I did my Science Foundation year. It was a very challenging year for me as my love for art grew very strong and at the same time, I had to concentrate on my school work.
Despite all of that I still find time to paint and do schoolwork at the same time.
I sold over 30 plus pieces last year and still aiming to sell more next year.
The positive feedback from people who are inspired by my art drives me to improve and I'm excited for 2022.
